GPN CPD Connect COPD Day 1 Glasgow

Two Day Course: 16 September 2019 and 28 October 2019 (you will automatically be registered onto day 2)

To provide general practice nurses with the knowledge and skills to perform an annual review of COPD in primary care.


Cancellation Notice:  Please be mindful that although this course is free for you to attend, the Scottish Government has funded your place from public resources.  We expect a high demand but are unlikely to be able to fill places at short notice from busy General Practices.  Therefore, if you are unable to attend for any reason at all we would be very grateful if you could please let us know no later than 14 days before the event to avoid a £75 cancellation fee to cover committed venue and catering costs and to ensure we have the opportunity to try and fill your place.

Delivered online/distance learning. Starting 18th September 2019.

Reproductive Health Theory for Practice: 18th September - 21st December 2019.
Genitourinary Medicine Theory for Practice: 8th January - 25th March 2020. 

Face to Face sessions:
Reproductive Theory: 18th September, 2nd October, 16th October & 30th October. Online exam 2 hours on 13th November.
Genitourinary Theory: 22nd January, 5th February, 19th February & 4th March. Online assessment 1.5 hours on 18th March.

Learning activities will be facilitated through a blended approach with the use of live streaming technology for those students unable to attend the face-to-face days.

The aim of this comprehensive learning module is to enable students to explore contemporary issues in genitourinary medicine. It offers in depth study of sexually transmitted infection and blood borne viruses from both clinical and public health perspectives. This will facilitate development of the necessary knowledge and skills required to enable them to competently and confidently provide sexual healthcare within the context of your own practice area.

GPN CPD Connect 2 Day Residential - Masterclass in Telephone, Triage, Consultation and Communication Skills - Senior General Practice Nurse - Level 6 (Edinburgh)


As part of this course offer all participants will benefit from one night's free accommodation at the venue.  We would recommend that you utilise this offer as a networking opportunity, to meet other nurses from around Scotland.
  

This 2-Day interactive, residential aims to prepare Senior General Practice Nurses with the necessary skills to commence telephone triage.  It will allow Senior General Practice Nurses the opportunity to practice their telephone triage skills with their peers in a safe and supportive environment.
