To explore the prevention, diagnosis, acute and long-term management of common cardiac conditions.
 
To enable participants to develop and apply underpinning knowledge, skills and attitudes at advanced practice level to the management of patients with acute and long-term cardiac conditions.

CPD Connect: GP Appraisal Workshop

Do you want to be better prepared for your appraisal? 

Do you struggle to identify your learning needs and reflect on your learning?

This FUNDED one day course will help you to identify your learning needs and then construct a self-directed learning plan to meet these needs.  In addition, it will feature practical sessions on reflection, and also on quality improvement ideas and projects and a session on using SOAR to make your appraisal easy and constructive.  The course will be delivered in small groups of up to seven practitioners with a mix of presentations, questions and answers and practical sessions.

 


Learning methods:
Small group learning (up to 7 practitioners) facilitated by associate adviser team encouraging informal supported learning;
Short presentations and questions/answers;
Practical demonstrations of learning needs assessment tools;
Demonstration of quality improvement tools;
Practical reflection exercises;
Practical session of critique of mock SEAs and criterion-based audits.
