GPN CPD Connect Cervical Screening - Glasgow

This course is for New Sample Takers and it is not an update day.

To provide currently employed general practice nurses with the knowledge and skills to collect a quality routine cervical sample and offer information and support in the event of an abnormal result

PLEASE NOTE THAT DELEGATES MUST BE FULLY QUALIFIED NURSES AND CURRENTLY REGISTERED WITH THE NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL (NMC).  WE REQUIRE YOU TO PROVIDE YOUR PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION NUMBER IN THE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS BOX WHEN MAKING YOUR BOOKING.

Cancellation Notice:  Please be mindful that although this course is free for you to attend, the Scottish Government has funded your place from public resources.  We expect a high demand but are unlikely to be able to fill places at short notice from busy General Practices.  Therefore, if you are unable to attend for any reason at all we would be very grateful if you could please let us know no later than 14 days before the event to avoid a £60 cancellation fee to cover committed venue and catering costs and to ensure we have the opportunity to try and fill your place.

This is an SCQF Level 9 module delivered by University of Dundee. 12 week course commencing January 2021 - exact date TBC. Delivered online/distance learning.

This includes optional face to face sessions at the Kirkcaldy Campus on dates TBC.

Assessment week: TBC.

To enable students the opportunity to develop skills in the assessment, and referral or management of patients with joint pain associated with musculo-skeletal conditions.
