C26 Advanced Leadership: September 2024 to January 2025 (GPs) - Virtual Course

Advanced leadership course for pharmacy staff and GPs

This is a 10 session course for more experienced pharmacy staff (> 3 years post registration experience) and GPs wishing to further develop their leadership skills. Key topics covered in the course are; the dynamics of teams, how to chair effectively, communication for leadership, managing conflict, coaching vs mentoring, staff development, change management and how to negotiate effectively. Throughout the course senior leaders from Pharmacy and Medicine join to share their leadership experience.

The days are spaced to enable you to complete a variety of tasks in between the days and to enhance your learning. Please come prepared to share your experiences. You really need to be able to attend all 10 sessions.

For session 10, participants are expected to share the outcome of a project that they have completed as part of the course that demonstrates their understanding of the leadership theory taught on the course. Please note that the posters need to be emailed as either a PowerPoint slide or as a word document to NES Pharmacy for processing. Please do not print your poster.
