GPN CPD Connect 2 Day Residential - Masterclass in Telephone, Triage, Consultation and Communication Skills - Senior General Practice Nurse - Level 6 (Glasgow)


As part of this course offer all participants will benefit from one night's free accommodation at the venue.  We would recommend that you utilise this offer as a networking opportunity, to meet other nurses from around Scotland.  

This 2-Day interactive, residential aims to prepare Senior General Practice Nurses with the necessary skills to commence telephone triage.  It will allow Senior General Practice Nurses the opportunity to practice their telephone triage skills with their peers in a safe and supportive environment.

GPN CPD Connect 2 Day Residential - Masterclass in Long Term Condition Management - Senior General Practice Nurse - Level 6 (Edinburgh)

This course is run in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation and is aimed at General Practice Nurses who are currently managing patients with Long Term Conditions. 

Long Term Conditions are health conditions that last a year or longer, impact on a person's life and may require on going care and support.  Around 2 million people, 40 per cent of the Scottish population, have at least one long term condition, and one in four adults over 16 report some form of Long-Term Illness, Health Problem or Disability.  27 per cent of people aged 75-84 have two or more.

This Course will explore the latest evidence and effective management of a variety of common presentations such as - Atrial Fibrillation, Heart Failure, CVD, Cancer Care and Mental Health.

GPN (University of Dundee) Minor Illness Including Triage - Level 9 or 11 Module

12 week course commencing 20th January 2020 delivered by University of Dundee. Students can choose to study at either Level 9 or 11. Delivered online/distance learning - students will also have the opportunity to attend optional face to face sessions.

Face to Face Sessions and Assessment date TBC.

To prepare registered healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with minor illnesses.
