PBSGL General Practice Nurse Memberships are now Funded for 3 years `08/06/2018

The National Health and Social Care Workforce Plan, Part 3 - improving workforce planning for primary care in Scotland (Scottish Government 2018) announced funding to support nurses working in General Practice. http://www.gov.scot/Publications/2018/04/3662/6.

This includes funding for an additional 255 PBSGL memberships for nurses as well your current PBSGL memberships being funded for 3 years.  Any fees that became due from 1st April 2018 onwards will automatically become funded and the PBSGL Admin team will contact you to confirm that you still wish to continue with your membership.  Anyone who has already paid their fees from 1st April will be contacted with regards to reimbursement.

Please note that this only applies to fees due from 1st April 2018 and not fees that are outstanding from prior to that date.

If your circumstances have changed and you are no longer part of the PBSGL group we have your listed as being a member of, or if you are unable to participate in the group, we would be grateful if you could let us know so that we can offer the funding for PBSGL membership to another Nurse.

All funded places come with the requirement to attend a minimum of 3 sessions per year

If you have any queries about this or anything about PBSGL specifically please email pbsgladministrator@nes.scot.nhs.uk

*Please note that after the 3 year funding ends, you may be required to pay an annual membership fee to continue to participate in PBSGL (2018-19 rates are £65 per annum).
